Introducing the Advocacy Navigator, powered by Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy
We are excited to have a new section on our www.diplomatpharmacy.com website: The Advocacy Navigator. The page can be seen here: http://diplomatpharmacy.com/patient-advocacy/. This page is a more patient oriented language and text.
What is Diplomat’s Advocacy Navigator?
Our Advocacy Navigator is one more way to provide the best possible resources and support to patients. Traditionally, a pharmacy served one purpose: to provide medications prescribed by a physician. At Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, we’ve expanded that role. Our team plays a more active part in helping patients achieve and maintain good health. The Advocacy Navigator is a patient friendly space where support groups and patients can go to find health related information and contacts.
Not only are we including more links and information on the webpage, but we have also established Facebook, Twitter and Google+ accounts for the Advocacy Navigator. And we are attending more patient centered events and conferences to take this area of Diplomat services to a new sector of the population. You will find that we like to share information about what your group or company is doing in the way of patient support and education. Let us know what is happening and we will help you get the word out.
Another new tool we have implemented at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy is a Patient Advocacy Hotline. If you or someone you know needs help accessing a specialty oral or inject-able medication or maybe you need help seeking financial assistance for a high co-pay? You can call this number and we can help with that too. If you are NOT currently a Diplomat patient, but would like more information, please call our toll free HOTLINE at: 1.855.284.4642. This hotline number was established to offer patients a way of accessing information that they might otherwise not know how to get. When you call the 1.855.284.4642 number you will hear a recording asking for some basic information from you that includes name, location and type of medication you are calling about. One of our trained staff will return your call asap to further assist you with questions and hopefully solutions to your situation. We want to be as accessible as possible to patients that are taking a proactive approach with their healthcare.
We hope that by adding these patient accessible areas to our already extensive programs we are able to encourage you to be your own advocate with your healthcare. Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy can be another active player on your healthcare team. Let us know how we can help you.
